Welcome Aboard
Welcome to the Crew Zen and Sea Zen boating web. This site is undergoing lots of change as we have added a second boat to our "fleet", now with a power and a sail boat we are officially transvesselites. We hope to chronicle the adventures aboard our boats, with reviews of waterways, marinas, food, conditions and resources for boaters along the way. Be sure and check out Boating Links / Resources for information and links to general boating resources, and some of our own pages on places we go like Pickwick Lake, Kentucky Lake, The Alabama and Florida Gulf Coast and more.

About Crew Zen
![]()
She is great boat, the second Crew Zen and she has a lot more whistles and
bells. Look in the coming months and years for a whole new journal of the
adventures of Crew Zen. We have spent two seasons exploring Kentucky Lake
with many trips to Pebble Isle for great meals, and lots of trips to
destinations unknown. We have also spent many peaceful days and nights at
dock just enjoying down time. She has been such a great boat that has added
a wonderful place for us to get away!
About Sea Zen

Our newest addition to the Zen fleet for 2011, Sea Zen is , a Hunter 27 Cherubini and we have put lots of time into her planning for the 2011 season. We have done the majority of the additions and upgrades that we wanted to make her our own, and we had a terrific 2011 sailing season. Sea Zen got a slow start in the race season, but by the end of the year we had earned 4th, 3rd, 2nd, and 1st place showings, and earned the Commonwealth Yacht Club most improved sailors award for 2011. The very first St. Jude Children's Research Hospital "Sailing for Hope" regatta was held on July 16th, 2011, (we missed 3rd place by 14 seconds). Hosted by the Kentucky Lake Sailing Club, we were really looking forward to this big event, and had an amazing time and helped raise over 13,000.00 for the children of St. Jude. Come back soon for more details about the 2012 regatta being held on June 9, 2012, and also don't forget you can sponsor us by checking us out at the St. Jude event page: http://sailingforhope.com/seazen. Come back soon for more updates and news about Sea Zen!
